The Havells NutriGrind brings the neighbourhood chakki onto your kitchen counter. It grinds with real stones rather than metal blades, and that is the whole point of it. Blade grinders spin fast and heat the grain, which burns off the natural oils and the aroma. The NutriGrind runs at a controlled 1400 RPM for dry grinding, slow enough to keep the grain cool. The flour that comes out has the soft texture and nutty smell of chakki-fresh atta, and rotis made from it stay softer for longer. The 400W induction motor is built for torque rather than speed, so it pushes through hard whole grains and tough spices without stalling. Induction motors also run quieter and last longer than the brushed motors used in most kitchen appliances. It is a wet and dry grinder, not just a flour mill. Dry mode at 1400 RPM handles wheat, millets, rice, pulses and whole spices like coriander and black pepper. Wet mode drops to 140 RPM for chutneys and batters, where slow grinding keeps the flavour and freshness intact. Grind texture is adjustable from coarse to fine, so the same machine gives you rava-style semolina for one dish and silky atta for the next. The unit is compact enough to sit beside a mixer grinder, and the Grey and Pista Green finish won the German Design Award 2024. Please note: it is meant for dry grains and whole spices. It is not suitable for grinding chilli, turmeric and similar staining spices. In the box you get the motor unit, dry grinding unit, wet grinding unit, 4 spare springs and the instruction manual. Havells provides installation; charges are as per Havells policy. Warranty is 2 years.
