Crompton Zelus DAC 28 Litre Desert Air Cooler with Ball Bearing Motor
A compact 28-litre grey desert cooler with a ball bearing motor, honeycomb pads and an Everlast pump, using just 105 W and backed by a 3-year warranty.
The Crompton Zelus DAC 28 is a compact desert air cooler for bedrooms, study rooms, small offices and shop cabins up to about 280 sq ft. Its grey body is under 90 cm tall and only about 35 cm wide, so it fits in a corner or beside a bed. Inside is a ball bearing motor. A ball bearing motor has less friction than a regular bush-type motor, so it runs quieter, heats up less and lasts longer. That counts for a cooler that runs every night from April to June. Cooling comes from high-density honeycomb pads, which hold more water than grass pads and cool the air better without sagging or smelling. The fan moves 2350 m³/hr of air with a throw of about 30 feet. 4-way air deflection with auto swing louvers spreads the air around the room. The 28-litre tank lasts through a night of cooling. A water level indicator and an overflow indicator show when to refill and stop you from overfilling. An ice chamber lets you add ice for extra cooling on the hottest nights. The Everlast pump is built to work with hard water, which is common in Jabalpur's borewell supply. Motor overload protection keeps the motor safe during voltage drops and long running hours. It uses only 105 W and is inverter compatible. Three fan speeds are set with a knob, and four castor wheels make it easy to move between rooms. In the box: air cooler, user manual, warranty card.
