The Crompton Gale DAC 90 is a large desert air cooler for halls, shops, offices and big living rooms. Its grey body looks less like a typical white cooler and does not show dust or marks as easily, which helps in shops and busy homes. Cooling comes from high-density honeycomb pads. Honeycomb pads hold more water and evaporate it better than grass or wood-wool pads, so the air comes out cooler. They also last longer without sagging or smelling. The cooler covers rooms up to about 470 sq ft. The 90-litre tank is the main reason to pick this model. In Jabalpur's dry May–June heat, it runs through a long day without refilling. Auto Fill can keep it topped up from a water line, and the water level indicator shows when it is running low. A separate ice chamber lets you add ice for extra cooling on the hottest afternoons. The Everlast pump is designed to resist jamming in hard water, which is one of the most common reasons coolers break down. A built-in overload protector keeps the motor safe if voltage drops or it runs for many hours. 4-way air deflection and auto swing louvers spread the air across the room, and there are three fan speeds.
