Does the shop have its own technicians

After-sales needs also matter — capacitor changes, remote problems, blade balancing. Having the same shop handle these is far easier than finding someone else later.
Does the shop stock spares

If the ceiling is above ten feet, a longer down rod is needed — otherwise the air never reaches you. A shop that installs its own fans will know this and ask.
What you cannot find out online
